How to play

Everyone gets the same finish, and there is a new one every day. Check it out on a double or the bull in three visits. Par is one more than the fewest darts it can be done in.

Throw at your own board and tap in each dart, or plan the route on the pad. Going below zero, leaving 1 or hitting zero without a double is a bust. Your darts are saved if you close the game.

About the Daily Finish

Every day there is one finish between 41 and 170, and everyone gets the same one. Your job is to check it out in as few darts as you can, finishing on a double or the bull, within three visits. Then share your result with your mates and see who beat par.

How to Play

Throw at your own board and tap in where each dart lands, or treat it as a puzzle and plan the route on the pad. Proper bust rules apply: go below zero, leave 1, or reach zero on anything but a double and the visit is a bust, so your score goes back to where that visit started.

Your darts are saved as you go. Close the game, put the kettle on, and carry on where you left off. A new finish arrives every day.

Reading Your Result

Your score is the number of darts you needed. Every visit before the one you finish in counts as three darts, busts included. Par is one more than the fewest darts the score can be finished in, so 100 is par 3 (it can go in two: treble 20, double 20) and 170 is par 4. Find the fastest route and you are one under par. Miss it in nine darts and the day goes down as an X.

The shared result shows the kind of dart you threw without giving the numbers away: green for a treble, blue for a double, yellow for a single, white for a miss, a target for the finishing dart and a burst for a bust. Your friends can see how you got there without spoiling the route.

Tips for Beating Par

Know your routes. If the finish is 121, treble 20 leaves 61 and treble 17 leaves 70, and both leave double 8 with the third dart. The darts checkout chart has every route from 170 down, and the checkout calculator finds one for any score.

Think about your misses too. Aim at a treble that leaves a good double even if it drops into the single, and avoid leaving bogey numbers like 169 and 159. For as many finishes as you like, play Checkout Practice, and sharpen your doubles with Bob's 27.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the Daily Finish change?

Once a day, at midnight UK time. Everyone gets the same finish wherever they play, and each one has a number, so you can compare results in a group chat.

What does par mean?

Par is one more than the fewest darts the score can be finished in. 100 can go in two darts (treble 20, double 20), so it is par 3. 170 needs three (treble 20, treble 20, bull), so it is par 4. Find the fastest route and you finish one under par.

How are darts counted after a bust?

A bust ends the visit and your score goes back to where the visit started. Every visit before the one you finish in counts as three darts, so a bust costs you the whole visit.

Can I play more than once a day?

There is one Daily Finish a day, and your darts are saved as you go, so closing the game picks up where you left off. For as many finishes as you like, try Checkout Practice.
