Beau Greaves, from Doncaster, won the WDF Women’s World Championship three years running from 2022 and holds the record for PDC Women’s Series titles. In April 2026 she became the first woman to win a PDC ranking event, beating Michael Smith 8-7 in the final of Players Championship 11 in Milton Keynes.
The Japan Edition is Target Japan’s take on her G1 signature. It is a straight barrel in a black and gold PVD finish, with a V-cut grip at the front and ring cuts at the rear, and it comes with Target Japan’s K-Flex moulded flights and Swiss Storm Nano points.
Key Specifications
The 22g and 23g share the same 50mm barrel, with the 23g a touch wider. The front grip section is black, and gold bands pick out the rings at the rear.

How They Compare
Spec sheets mean more next to the alternatives. Here is the Beau Greaves Japan Edition against three similar darts we have covered, using the figures each manufacturer publishes.

Who They Suit
| If you... | Fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Like a light, slim dart | Good | Lightest is 22g with a 6.4mm barrel |
| Want a thick, heavy barrel | Poor | Widest is 6.5mm on the 23g |
| Want grip cuts along the whole barrel | Partial | A smooth branded section sits between the two grip zones |
| Want a very smooth grip | Partial | No manufacturer grip rating is published |
| Prefer a short barrel | Partial | Barrel length is 50mm |
| Want quick-swap points | Good | Swiss Storm Nano points swap with the included tool |
| Are working to a tight budget | Poor | It sits in the Premium price band |
This is a slim dart for players who sit in the 22g to 23g range and like a defined grip at the front, with a second textured zone for anyone who holds further back. The K-Flex flight and shaft is one moulded piece, which Target says cuts down on deflections.
If you want more barrel under your fingers, the Target Miracle G7 is the obvious Target Japan alternative at 7.05mm and up. For Target’s Swiss Points at a much lower price, the Target Hydro sits in the Moderate band.
What Owners Say
The set has a 5.0 out of 5 score from 4 buyer reviews at a major online retailer. That is far too few to call a consensus, and we found no independent reviews yet. What is there is positive. One buyer calls them well made. Another, who says they have been through around 40 sets, rates the balance and calls the grip unintrusive.
Nobody has raised a complaint so far, but with a pool this small, that tells you very little. Treat the score as a first impression until more owners have had a set for a while.
What owners consistently praise
- Balance, singled out by an owner who has tried dozens of sets
- A grip that holds without feeling intrusive
- Build quality
Common criticisms
- No recurring criticisms yet, as only a handful of owners have reviewed the set
The Grip: What to Expect
Target describes two zones. The front has sharp V-shaped cuts set into deep ring grooves, aimed at locking the fingers in place. The rear has moderately deep double-ring cuts for players who hold further back. Between them is a smooth section carrying Beau’s script, so a mid-barrel grip lands on bare tungsten.
The one owner who described the grip in any detail called it unintrusive, which suggests the V-cuts are less aggressive in the hand than they look. With so little feedback, handle a set first if grip is the deciding factor.
The Consensus
Early owners rate the Japan Edition highly for balance and a grip that holds without biting. Weigh that against a very small pool of reviews, a Premium price, and a slim profile that will feel thin to anyone used to a wider barrel. If the 22g to 23g range and a front-loaded grip suit you, the first signs are good.
How we compile this page
We don’t throw every dart ourselves. Instead we gather the manufacturer’s published specifications and weigh up the reception from owners and independent reviewers, then flag where they disagree so you can make up your own mind. Where a headline rating comes from manufacturer-hosted reviews, we say so, because those tend to skew positive.
