The Arkitekt is a 90% tungsten steel tip set from Mission. It is a short, bullet-shaped torpedo, 38.2mm long at every weight, with milled grip cuts through the middle and smooth tungsten at each end.
The name ties in with Mission’s story for the dart. It says this is the barrel chosen by a designer who has worked with some of the biggest brands in darts, though it does not say who.

How They Compare
Spec sheets mean more next to the alternatives. Here is the Arkitekt against three similar darts we have covered, using the figures each manufacturer publishes.
| Arkitekt | Scott Williams Gen 2 (opens in a new tab) | Luke Humphries TX3 (opens in a new tab) | Mission Venom (opens in a new tab) | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price band | High End | High End | High End | High End |
| Tungsten | 90% | 90% | 90% | 90% |
| Weights | 21.5g, 23.5g, 25.5g | 23g, 25g | 22g, 24g | 23g, 25g |
| Barrel length | 38.2mm | 43.5mm | 43.2mm | 50.4mm |
| Barrel diameter | 7.8mm (21.5g) | 8mm (23g) | 7.13mm (22g) | 7.4mm (23g) |
The Arkitekt is the shortest barrel here by 5mm. Even its lightest weight is wider than the TX3 at 22g, and the two other short torpedoes sit between it and a standard 50mm barrel.
Who They Suit
| If you... | Fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Like a light, slim dart | Poor | Lightest is 21.5g, but already 7.8mm wide |
| Want a thick, heavy barrel | Good | 25.5g at 8.6mm wide |
| Want grip cuts along the whole barrel | Partial | Grip cuts on the centre section only, with a smooth front and rear |
| Prefer a short barrel | Good | Barrel length is 38.2mm |
| Want quick-swap points | Poor | Standard steel points |
| Are working to a tight budget | Poor | It sits in the High End price band |
If you throw a slim straight barrel, a 38.2mm torpedo will feel like a very different dart. Mission’s own Venom is a longer 50.4mm barrel at 7.4mm to 7.65mm wide, which is a smaller step. Our guides to dart weights and barrel shapes explain how length, width and profile change the way a dart sits in your fingers.
What Owners Say
There is very little to go on yet. A major retailer shows a single verified buyer review, five stars for the 25.5g, and it talks more about quick delivery and a happy recipient than about the barrel itself. Mission’s own store has no reviews for the dart, and we found no independent write-up.
One rating is not a pattern, so there is no recurring praise or complaint to report. What follows is the little that exists, plus the points any buyer should weigh up.
What owners consistently praise
- The one verified buyer review so far gives it five stars
Common criticisms
- Too few owner reviews to judge how it throws
- Priced at the top end for a 90% tungsten set
The Grip: What to Expect
Mission puts all the grip in the middle of the barrel: a radial pattern crossed by long milled cuts, with smooth tungsten in front of it and behind it. It publishes no grip rating, and there is no owner feedback yet on whether the cuts feel sharp or mild.
Because the nose and rear are smooth, a player who holds right at the front or the very back of the barrel will find little to grip. On a barrel this short and wide, your fingers are likely to land on the cut section anyway. If grip is the deciding factor, try to handle a set first.
The Consensus
There isn’t one yet. The Arkitekt has a single positive buyer rating, which tells you nothing about how it throws. What you can judge is the shape: very short, wide and torpedo-profiled, with the grip concentrated in the middle.
If that matches how you hold a dart, nothing in the reception rules it out. If you want more owner opinion behind a High End purchase, the Target Scott Williams Gen 2 is a short, wide torpedo with a much bigger pool of reviews.
How we compile this page
We don’t throw every dart ourselves. Instead we gather the manufacturer’s published specifications and weigh up the reception from owners and independent reviewers, then flag where they disagree so you can make up your own mind. Where a headline rating comes from manufacturer-hosted reviews, we say so, because those tend to skew positive.
